🦋 2022 FAVORITES & WRAP UP 🦋
These books on my 2022 Favorite Books list are what I rated 5 stars throughout the year. There may have been more that I have missed that have slipped through the cracks. What I scoured while creating and updating this may not be everything because I may have put it elsewhere that couldn’t be found while doing this. These were just the ones that I marked while I was reading. In 2022, I kept trying different ways to track what I read to find something that would meet my needs. However I am still looking for my perfect system, but I am in the progress of creating a new system that would work best for me.
Many of these books are from authors I had read before and loved, while some are new to me.
My official book count for 2022 is 309/310. However, that is only part of the picture. I started some books but never finished them for one reason or another. Sometimes I would DNFed a book because I wasn’t in the mood, didn’t like it, or even forgot about it. Then, when I go back to read them, I would start again from the beginning because I don’t remember what I read from where I left off.
So in 2023, I want to count books I DNFed, because I did go to the effort to read them. Why bother leaving anything off if I want to record everything I read?
2022 was the year when I decided to be more consistent with bookstagram and book blogging. It may not seem that way because there were a few moments when I fell off the wagon. But it showed me that I could do it. Even when I fall, I must pick myself back up and try again.
2023 will bring a revamp of Unraveling Chaos. I’m working on a new, more cohesive rating system instead of picking something out of the blue and a way to keep track of what I’m reading. I want to be more consistent than before and show up. I have found a community where I feel safe and comfortable, somewhere I belong. I want to show the person behind the account. To try to interact with people and groups. Instead of just lurking in the background because this is my escape from life and not a burden. These are some of the overall things I want to do. There are more, but I can’t think of them at the moment, but I will be working on this for 2023.
Here’s to the new year and the changes it will bring!
*I hope this has everything I want to say because this is the second time I have attempted to write this. Unfortunately, the first time didn’t save, and everything was erased, so I am trying to remember if I hit all the points I wanted.
