I died a long time ago. I was broken, lost, and damaged by my past. That is until I met Alayna—the most determined, impossibly passionate woman alive.
She plucked me out of the dark, unbound me from my worst fears, and showed me that life is more than just surviving.
She is my saving grace.
But I destroyed that too by abandoning her when she needed me the most. Now she can’t bring herself to look at me, even without the mask I hid behind.
I am the reason why we fell apart.
Nevertheless, my plans to destroy my enemies will save us both. In the search for the truth about our intertwined pasts, we will find a way back to each other.
What Alayna and I had shouldn’t have ended this way.
But since it did, my revenge begins…

The Billionaire’s Revenge is a story about love, revenge, jealousy, and sacrifice.
“We all have to sacrifice something at some point in our lives.”
Life is not without sacrifice. Every one of the characters had to sacrifice something, whether it be big or small. It was either for themselves or others. However, it led to the character’s growth/development.
UGHHH!
Brandon and Alayna frustrated me the majority of the time I was reading. In my opinion, it was slow. The pace didn’t pick up until later on. I kept trying to get into it but wasn’t able to until the second half. I’m glad that I didn’t give up because I did end up enjoying it.
The cons, at least for me, aside, there were pros as well. Alayna was no longer dependent on Brandon. She became an independent woman, standing up for what she wanted. Her growth was something I loved.
Brandon grew more into himself. He was more confident and willing to be more open, at least to a degree.
I have a love/hate relationship with cliffhangers. However, if done well, they are effective. This cliffhanger left me wanting more.
The ending seems as if Margarette was setting up for a third book. If so, I can’t wait for it. [Will edit]

ALAYNA
“I hate that we’ve been apart,” Brandon says. “I hate every moment you’re not with me. I hate every fucking second I have to keep doing what is needed—and that is staying away from you to keep you safe. Alayna, I hate that because of me, you are in danger. So please, baby…” He shifts his body so that he’s facing me. He reaches out and runs his thumb down my cheek and lower lip. “I’m sorry, and I want you to trust me.”
He leans forward and plants a brief, soft kiss on my forehead, leaving me reeling, my stomach twitching, anticipating his next step. My throat dries up.
“And If I’m…” he pauses. “If I am sorry for everything… I won’t be sorry for this.” He grabs the back of my neck and crushes his lips against mine.
At first, I think I’m dreaming as if it were the first time Brandon kissed me. He feels so familiar—a lost lover I’ve yearned for. I give in to the kiss, letting him devour my mouth. He groans at my response. His kiss grows relentless and more demanding. And right when we can’t get enough of each other, wishing to feel more, he picks me up and brings me to his lap. His hands are all over my body, pulling me harder against him. We are panting between each other’s mouths, my nails slashing into his shirt as I try to pull him closer.
I moan, and it doesn’t matter. At this moment, he is mine and mine alone. My fingers grip his back as his tongue plunges into my mouth aggressively, gaining much more access. Brandon has become fierce and confident. He used to be gentle with me, and I was always careful while touching him before. My hands are freely gripping his biceps, then his muscular chest, tangling in his hair. He is so passionate, and he knows exactly what I need.
I can taste the lingering flavor of whiskey in his mouth, but it’s too delicious. I moan hard, unable to contain my feelings anymore, as he moves down my neck. I’ve fallen for him like a starving woman, kissing and touching him with no shame, grinding myself against him. Every single cell in my body has awakened. I’m so aroused that I want more and more of him. While his mouth and his tongue continuously explore my neck, his free hand pulls my dress out of the way.
I gasp. “Is this all right?” I breathe. “Here?”
“Of course this isn’t,” he whispers harshly, “but here we are. Isn’t this better?”
He brings his mouth back to my neck and runs his tongue over my skin, sucking and licking. Marking me.
“I still want you, Alayna. I want to be deep inside you. I want your legs around me. Again. I may have tried to fix things differently than your expectation, but it’s not over between us. It never is.”
