Review
‘Sometimes you have to break free of what you know to find out who you are.’
If you love a Hallmark Christmas movie, “The Runaway Bride of Blitzen Bay” is for you. Christmas is not my favorite holiday, and yet I love Christmas movies. I would watch them year-round. When I need an escape from life, watching a Christmas movie is one way for me to do so.
Does the storyline of “The Runaway Bride of Blitzen Bay” seems crazy and ridiculous? Absolutely. But that is what makes it fun to read. It seems unbelievable enough that I could see it be a movie.
Noelle is our runaway bride. It doesn’t matter how long you spend with someone, and there may be a chance that you won’t know who they really are. You will only see what someone wants you to see. Anyone could be wearing a mask, and you wouldn’t even know. Not until they choose to show their true colors.
Nash was recently retired from the military. He was invited to a high school classmate’s wedding. At first, he didn’t want to go, but he went anyway. At the wedding was when his life changed.
If you are meant to be with someone, it will happen. Everything happens for a reason, and there are no such things as coincidences. Nash and Noelle met at Noelle’s wedding. Their first meeting was amusing. The relationship was crazy, and I enjoyed reading about it.
“The Runaway Bride of Blitzen Bay” is the second book I’ve read from Donna Schwartze, and it makes me want to read more from her. Especially if I need something funny and I know I will enjoy it.
