Review
“Don’t we always own a piece of the person who loves us?”
Rowan is a bindup of all of the books from The Lochlann Feuds series. Scarlet Princess was the first book I read by Robin D. Mahle and Elle Madison. I’m glad that I stumbled upon it. With each book in the series, I believed that it got better and better. The Lochlann Feuds series is a spinoff of The Lochlann Treaty. I still have yet to read it, so it’s on my TBR.
Scarlet Princess, Tarnished Crown, and Crimson Kingdom was told from Rowan’s point of view. It wasn’t until Obsidian Throne that it had both Rowan and Evander’s point of views. Rowan includes bonus chapters from each book from the series. Seeing other characters’ perspectives during the events of the books was interesting. I have realized that I enjoy it when books have multiple points of views. It makes it easier to like the book. If I don’t like one character, there’s a chance I may like the other. The story may be good, but if you don’t like the perspective of the character you’re reading from, it will make the experience less enjoyable.
The bonus chapters added another layer to reading the series. It improved everything and made me like the series more than I already did.
