Between Work in Progress and Metamorphosis, I ended up choosing Work in Progress. Digital Compositions had taught me a lot. Academically and personally.
There are some things that you would never realize about yourself until someone says something about it. My experience in this class made me realize more about myself as a person, as well as a writer.
People do things intentionally without realizing that they are doing so. It all seems like a coincidence but it is not. Everything that someone does has some sort of meaning, even when they do not realize it at first.
From the beginning of the class, there were some hints of what I would do later in class. When I reread my old work and actually saw it coming true, I was shocked.
In other classes there were restrictions and limitations as to what you can do in terms of writing. With Digital Compositions, there wasn’t. You were free to write as you pleased, and that is scary all on its own.
Learning how I write helped me realize what I am good at, and how I can improve with what I am not. Which leads to both my old blog title and the two I was in between in choosing. Unraveling Chaos, was meant as a place where I can put my thoughts into words. The meaning behind it was that my mind is a mess, and I am not good with putting my thoughts into coherent words, and this was where I could at least attempt to. Metamorphosis means change and/or transformation. And people are always changing. I thought it represented what I am going through right now. Which is a transformation. Work in Progress is what I see myself as. No one is perfect. Yet I strive to become the best version of myself there is. I may not be the best yet, but I am working on it and it is a work in progress. That does not apply only to me, but to everyone in general. People should always try to be their best, but the state of doing so and them working on it means that they are also a work in progress.
